My Story

"In September 2024, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer, which was HER2- and hormone receptor-positive. At 21 years old, and with no family history, this diagnosis was unexpected. Prior to starting chemotherapy, I chose to explore cold capping as a way to maintain a sense of normalcy during treatment. While I experienced some hair loss and thinning, I was able to retain most of my hair.

Less than six months post-chemo, my hair recovered and thickened considerably. I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact this had on my mental and emotional well-being. Maintaining my hair allowed me to preserve my appearance, providing a sense of privacy and control during a challenging time.

Inspired by my own experience, I am now dedicated to supporting other patients through cold capping. As a cold capping specialist, I offer guidance, practical assistance, and a supportive presence to those undergoing chemotherapy. My mission is to empower patients to preserve their hair, fostering comfort and confidence throughout their journey."
